Google talks up Android: open ecosystems lead to innovation (ars technica)

I don't buy the high rate of code churn. The git public repo shows probably less than 200
patches since the middle of February. that's 3 patches per day.

For the patches to be merged later on, they should make sure the code is properly written as
they go. Before they fully stabilize the platform.
