You are a lone voice.. I have not been able to get it to work all the time. Sometimes it does.. and sometimes I just have a grey area in my browser which means restart.

Firefox 2.0.0.13-1, swfdec-mozilla 0.6.0-2, and libswfdec-0.6-90 0.6.2-1 installed on a Debian unstable amd64. But I'm pretty sure, that youtube went well with 0.5.0 of swfdec as well.
