All jokes are always appropriate.  It's just a matter of whether or not it's appropriate for
certain people to be listening.  :p

I agree :)

I initially wanted to make a very crude joke, but converted it into the above comment after
reading the recommendations of the "comment editor" page: "Please try to be polite,
respectful, and informative[...]"

It is easy for any joke related to the [assumed] death of a human being to be taken as
un-respectul. The line was too thin to walk on :)

In any case, it is a welcome inversion of the usual pattern. "Welcome" as long as it doesn't actually happen, of course!
