This is "high" priority because the wife will kill me if she
doesn't have her videos. And the adobe player won't install on
current rawhide due to some library issues.
Argh. My apologies for sloppiness of flame. Conclusion still
stands.

Wonder if making jokes about "wife killing [Linux developer]" is very appropriate these
days...

All jokes are always appropriate. It's just a matter of whether or not it's appropriate for
certain people to be listening. :p

I agree :)
I initially wanted to make a very crude joke, but converted it into the above comment after
reading the recommendations of the "comment editor" page: "Please try to be polite,
respectful, and informative[...]"
It is easy for any joke related to the [assumed] death of a human being to be taken as
un-respectul. The line was too thin to walk on :)

In any case, it is a welcome inversion of the usual pattern. "Welcome" as long as it doesn't actually happen, of course!

In an lkml post yesterday, Al Viro used 'rot' as an epithet. I can't think of the last time I
heard anyone actually English do that: Al's cursing has become more English than the English
:)
(I wonder if he'll start using 's'blood or zounds next? ;} )
