Description:
 Version 0.6 is released! It is available as a
Debian package for Ubuntu Gutsy. 

Please post wishes and bug reports below or even
better, send them via email.

KtikZ is a small application helping you to create
TikZ (from the LaTeX pgf package) diagrams for
your publications. It requires qt4, libpoppler,
LaTeX (pdflatex), the LaTeX preview-latex-style
package [1] and pgf itself [2]. For the eps export
functionality you also need the poppler-utils
package. If you'd like to improve this litte tool
just check it out from svn
(svn://hackenberger.at/svnroot/ktikz) and send me
patches.

Here are some TODOs:
Print image
In multiple image mode, allow to save and export
only the current image
Load the contents of the TikZ commands menu from
an XML file
  (this would require an XML file for each
translation :-( )
Clicking an item in the TikZ commands dock widget
should not insert
  it, but only select it.  Pressing an Insert
button would then do the
  actual insertion.  There should also be a Help
button which opens the
  TikZ manual at the page where the selected item
is explained.

The following Ubuntu packages are required for
compilation
(not counting an ordinary C++ development
environment and a
standard LaTeX environment)
qt4-dev-tools
libqt4-dev
libpoppler-qt4-dev
pgf
preview-latex-style

Compile the application as following:

cd ktikz
qmake-qt4
make

Now ktikz can be started with

Optionally, you can install ktikz on your system
using:

sudo make instal
