Emacs chooses Bazaar
I ran across this series of blog posts a few days before this article arrived, and have been meaning to find it again ever since. Elijah makes a number of interesting observations, including identifying an axis along which many of the systems sort themselves out, with corresponding differences in what they can and can't do (without accessing external resources). And while the idea of "limbo" wasn't new, discussing it explicitly does clarify things, and it's another axis along which some DVCSes differ.
This is, BTW, an example of something that existing blogware doesn't seem to handle well - the articles probably read more smoothly in order, but they're presented exactly backwards (at least by default). Well, that can work, too - I wandered into these somewhere in between the ends and wandered around kind of randomly. :-)
