The phone memory can probably be accessed via OBEX-FTP over either Bluetooth or USB, if it makes any difference. It might not be your first choice of industry standard protocol, but it is documented and there is Linux software support. To tell the truth, I doubt the manufacturers of any of the phones I can buy locally would have answered differently.
