Yes. As with other freedoms, the less they know, the less they will react to its degradation,
the less disincentive distributors will have to degrade it, and thus the less likely that
freedom will persist than if users were more aware of it. Software freedom is a fledgeling in
the big picture of freedom, and so--especially given people's ever greater dependence on
software--software freedom seems to be especially in need of attention and discussion.
