It doesn't suffice to say what the version is (though that's nice), or to supply patches. You don't have to host the full source, but you do have to include a written offer, good for three years, to provide the full source. You can charge what it costs you for doing this. It can be done offline, you can mail CDs to people who request it. You can't stop them from posting that CD online. Don't tell people that they just need to supply patches; that is incorrect.
