I just finished installing Hardy-Heron v/A5 on Horen (my P3/866 w/1.5GB RAM). Here are some observations:

The installer hung-and-froze three times in succession, at 95% complete (according to the progress bar), while checking-for/removing packages to be removed [italics mine].
The !@#$% installer destroyed the 79GB partition on my #3 hard drive; thankfully, it left the 1GB swap partition unharmed.

Yes, I backed-up those 30GB of MP3 files (my CD collection, ripped-and-encoded)... three years ago... perhaps it was only 27GB back then...

Grateful thanks to the XMMS developers, who had the Means, Motive, and Opportunity to enhance the product and added streaming-audio as an input (and lessened my sudden sensory deprivation).
