A Beijing momentA Beijing moment Posted Feb 20, 2008 0:55 UTC (Wed) by zeekec (subscriber, #2414) [Link] Where's the picture of our fearless editor?
A Beijing moment Posted Feb 20, 2008 5:10 UTC (Wed) by corbet (editor, #1) [Link] Strangely enough, your editor has taken very few pictures of himself and, thus, has none to post. This event is, however, attended by a dedicated and energetic group of photographers who, it would seem, will need to buy large RAID arrays just to hold the vast quantity of pictures they have taken over the last couple of days. Your editor now has flash spots burned permanently into his retinas. Presumably at least one of those pictures will surface eventually.Be advised, though, that your editor has taken great pains to never wear a necktie over his nearly three decades in the technical field. A winning streak that long is not easily abandoned, and it has not happened here.

A Beijing moment: Our favorite editor at the BoF session Posted Feb 21, 2008 6:25 UTC (Thu) by foka (subscriber, #6707) [Link] Here is a picture of our favorite editor at the BoF session on the 2nd day (February 20, 2008) of the 2008 Linux Developer Symposium (Linux 开发者研讨会). And here are some more photos from the 2008 Linux Developer Symposium taken by my colleague, a fellow Beijing LUG member, and me. These photos are uncensored and uncut, a straight dump from my xD card. So, I apologize in advance if there is any bad shots or whatnot. :-) There are a lot more photos (like over 3000?) photos taken over the entire events by fellow Beijing GNU/Linux User Group members alone, so I'm sure more and more pictures will surface soon. :-) I thoroughly enjoyed the event, especially the precious chance to meet and chat and dine with these great individuals of the Linux community. Hope you enjoy Beijing, and hope to see you again soon! Cheers, Anthony Fok
A Beijing moment: Our favorite editor at the BoF session Posted Feb 21, 2008 7:50 UTC (Thu) by nix (subscriber, #2304) [Link] Over three *thousand*? Did you have time to eat or sleep? (What am I saying, this is a Linux conference. So no sleep then, but hopefully at least you got a chance to talk to people in between wielding the camera!)
A Beijing moment: Our favorite editor at the BoF session Posted Feb 21, 2008 20:00 UTC (Thu) by foka (subscriber, #6707) [Link] No, I didn't take the 3000 photos. Perhaps I was unclear: I did not take that many photos personally. I think I had about 250 photos, but only 100 of which are taken by me personally. The pictures before noon on the first day were taken by my colleague Steven Sun; and some of the after-dinner shots were taken by Ollo. :-) Beijing LUG has assigned e.g. Ollo to be the photographer for the event, so he has taken a lot of pictures (including multiple-shots which are 0.5 second apart to capture the best expressions etc. I think), especially during speeches, round-table meeting, BoFs, etc. So yeah, it is either 3000 photos over the two-day event, or something like 15 GB of photos. Ollo did find the time to eat and mingle, especially in the evening. But yes, he has been really great! I think he covered just about everybody and everything. Cheers, Anthony

pwned! Posted Feb 28, 2008 8:59 UTC (Thu) by felixfix (subscriber, #242) [Link] Seems you've been outed. But I don't see the Mickey Mouse ears or Groucho glasses. Did he edit those away, Soviet-style?
A Beijing moment - looks more like a black T-shirt. Posted Feb 28, 2008 14:30 UTC (Thu) by TxtEdMacs (subscriber, #5983) [Link] Now the real question, how low did does one need to go to create such a bogus creation, i.e. was it done with Gimp or was it Photoshopped? The shame ...

A Beijing moment Posted Feb 22, 2008 8:46 UTC (Fri) by ortalo (subscriber, #4654) [Link] How do you expect to conquer the desktop then (especially at home)? I think we should lie a little bit on our features... (After all, we're already saving the world.)
