Acer has been for some time selling a low-end workstation that has Linpus pre-installed, at least in some markets (here in Finland one can get it for example at http://www.verkkokauppa.com/popups/prodinfo.php?id=0235). I have no idea if it is the version described in the article. The linked page claims "it has no windowing system (X)", which sounds strange. If true, it would mean Acer put Linpus on it just as a "placeholder", expecting all users to replace it by something else.

The article says that the Normal mode is KDE, and even the Easy mode can run Firefox, so it must have a windowing system. Either it's an improved version, or somebody mistranslated the statement that it has no Windows.
