Works like a chump! The thunar_volman gui is pretty woofy, but it does the job :). And it came up with all the removable media auto-mount stuff already configured. This is pretty important for me, as I sneakernet my work backups home on the pen drive. I'll assume the lack of thunar_volman in Fedora's default pup Xfce package is an oversight. Hope they fix it!
