When they say 'in the future'.. they are realy meaning 'next year'.

For example Macbooks are gaining multitouch touchpads, and the Loveno X60 tablet gains a
optional 'multitouch' through the use of combination digitizer and resistive touch screen.

Then newer pointer systems like things similar to the Wii controller will make it possible to
have multiple people using the same screen. You can see this in special controllers for the
Linux-MCE folks like the Fiire Cheif controller http://fiire.com/fiire-chief.php and the
various gyro-based mice pointer systems being introduced.  For example it will be quite
possible to have people sharing a HDTV when gaming. It would be nice to see that in Linux.
