FYI on x86 -- it seems that there are section mismatches on compilation of the main git
snapshots, which are waiting on the x86 tree update. The mass of queued x86 patches is very
significant, and a lot of problems are expected to be 'self-fixing' by the simple expedient of
waiting for the series to complete. If they've bitten you, the suggestion seems to be wait
until -rc1 and retry before submitting a fix.

what Sam said in that mail was that there are a good number of section fixes in the x86.git tree (for warnings that were present in v2.6.24 too - i.e. nothing really new), and by getting it merged the number of reports goes down.

Btw., the x86.git tree with its 900 commits was merged by Linus yesterday.
