British English too. Like `whom', it's at that `last stand of the dying
feature' stage, being seen as pretentious and overly formal.

The subjunctive tense
Must... resist... pedantic... impulse.... AAARGH!!!
You mean the subjunctive mood, of course....

Hah, and then there's the passive tense (where I'm not tense because I say
things in a really non-aggressive manner, you know.)
