SCALE on the Radio!
Tomorrow, January 26th, Gareth Greenaway, SCALE Operations Chair, and Orv Beach, SCALE Publicity Chair, will be on the Digital Village radio show. Digital Village is carried on KPFK (90.7 FM in the Los Angeles area), and streaming audio at www.kpfk.org. Digital Village has two half-hour segments. Gareth and Orv will be on the second half, starting at 10:30 a.m., discussing Open Source software in general, and the the So Cal Linux Expo specifically. This will be the third or fourth time they've been on Digital Village. If you've been to SCALE, you won't hear much new, but it's interesting to hear the hosts' reactions now that they've been exposed to Open Source software. One of them has even started messing around with Ubuntu Linux, so they're fairly receptive to the idea of FOSS. Tune in if you've got a moment! _______________________________________________ Scale-announce mailing list Scale-announce@mail.socallinuxexpo.org http://mail.socallinuxexpo.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/s... WTF is SCALE? Posted Jan 27, 2008 3:32 UTC (Sun) by stevenj (subscriber, #421) [Link] A brief note that SCaLE is the Southern California Linux Exposition to be held on Feb. 8–10 would have been nice. Please, LWN editors, don't post these cryptic items: a basic who/what/why (& link) in the lede would be greatly appreciated. The editing of the LWN editors is why we come to this site!(Especially since there are other things named "SCALE" that might be of interest to LWN readers, such as the SCALE mobile-computing group at MIT or the UTCS/UMass Scalable Compiler for Analytical Experiments.)
