But it is not even clear that they need those unfair practices. Cusumano argues in "The business of software" that this is what happened in the browser wars during the late nineties: Microsoft played dirty with Netscape and won, but they would have won regardless. Netscape just had a lousy strategy. I just say: let us make it more interesting this time.
