Name: Transcogg
Version: 1.3
Type: Amarok Script
Depend:
License: GPL
Homepage: http://jjorge.free.fr
More Info:
http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=63121
Description:
This Amarok plugin shrinks (reduce the size) your
files (MP3, OGG and FLAC) before copying them to
your devices, to put more music in them. This
script uses 2 threads, so it loves Multi-core
processors ;-)
Of course, this reduces the quality of the tracks
copied to the devices ( oggenc -q 1 )
You need a device that plays the patent free
Ogg/Vorbis format to benefit of this script.
NB: You have to ask Amarok to convert file "if
possible" if you want the OGG files to be reduced,
as this is a OGG to OGG conversion.
Changelog:
Version 1.3 :
- l18n support, starting with French an Portuguese
languages. The pot file is included, allowing
anyone to translate easily to his own language
