Pugs revitalised Perl6 almost overnight; without it there would likely be nothing. If that doesn't scare people off, I don't know what would.

Unless you're a PHB, and terrified about bouts of creativity you can't reproduce at the wave of a wand. Celebrate the creativity, and ponder how to make it infectious, yet manageable.
