SCO Delisted as of Today (Groklaw)

Groklaw reports that SCO has been delisted from the NASDAQ. "All those Mesirow and legal hours working on the SEC delisting did not pay off. SCO announces today that Nasdaq has sent them a letter. SCO will be delisted as of December 27. They found out on the 21st, it seems, but they tell us today. Here's the press release, where they once again describe themselves as "a leading provider of UNIX software technology and mobile services"."

Nah, not surprising at all. It's just the US legal system in action, making sure lawyers get
paid a lot more than they need to be. :)

Plus, the judge has been letting it go so that every i is dotted and t is crossed so that once
it's done, it's done.

Not suprising at all, considuring that the majority of laws are made by lawyers. (I don't know
what the percentage of congressmen have law degrees and have practiced, but it has to be very
high)

Lawyers are definately for-profit people and are more then happy to create a system were they
are essentially gods and make everybody utterly dependent on them for the tiniest details in
their professional lives.

I honestly expected a more positive spin in the PR, like somehow getting delisted was a good
thing for the 5 people still investing in their company.

They had to let Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf go in the last round of layoffs.
