The GNOME 2.22 roadmap

The GNOME 2.22 roadmap has been posted; it contains a long list of items which are expected to find their way into the upcoming 2.22 release (and beyond). Among many other things, 2.22 looks to include Anjuta DevStudio, Empathy, and Cheese.

For Deskbar Applet "Performance improvements" should be listed first.

For Evolution "Stability, and minimize the memory requirement" should be listed first.

Still, I love what the GNOME people are doing with it.  Rock on!

On the subject of Evolution, have you (or other readers) tried Tinymail?  It's based on
Evolution backends, but without the crack-smoking.  The developer's blog is here

Interesting interface. Maybe good for an Ipod-like device.  But I wouldn't feel comfortable
using it on a desktop.

Regarding Evolution memory use, the migration of E-D-S to D-Bus will make it use less memory.
