Just use IceWeasel like Debian does... Probably Ubuntu does not want to create confusion but as a result it just makes Gobuntu a joke...

Why does it make Gobuntu a joke? If your goal is to create a completely 
free distro, then Firefox is sadly not an option. Blame Mozilla/Firefox 
which to the best of my knowledge created the stupid mess.

Firefox is free software, minus very small bits. Someone already maintains "Firefox renamed
minos some small bits". (G)ubuntu folks won't lend a hand there.

The result? Gubuntu who will need Firefox will install it from standard Ubuntu repositories.
What impact does this have on Firefox?
