If language doesn't matter, why do we bother creating them? Why don't we write in machine
language? High-level languages are here to make certain things trivial and hence bug-proof. If
you have to reinvent the wheel, to handle arbitrary-length strings for example, there's so
many more chances at getting things wrong, good programmer or bad programmer.

Language is a way of communication. If people talk rubbish, it doesn't matter in what language
they do it. Sure, some languages are harder than others, so trivial mistakes are made more or
less often. But if on the whole it's a pile of rubbish, it stays a pile of trash. You can try
to put the blame on the language people use when sprouting garbage, but I don't find that very
convincing.
