It seems that the brick does not feel like selling this system.

Upfront they say that Lindows is not compatible with MS software, whereas it comes with crossover office.

Secondly, they say upfront that one MUST buy a 99/a subscription for software via click 'n run. Again not entirely true.

They upfront tell that the VIA processor functions like a Celeron 733

They say nothing about the free office suites, the GIMP, media players. They mention the cons but not the pros.

To a customer, this sounds like a cheap product that will cost them oodles of cash on the subscription fees.

Just to correct myself.

The press release mentions the pros. says nothing about the pros

I think this is sensible.

Informed users - those who know what Linux/Lindows is and know that they want it - won't be put of by these. Uninformed users should be warned that they might now be getting what they think they're buying.

For the moment, at least, I think the best market for them is computer types who want to set up friends/relatives with simple machines for e-mail and web surfing.
