I cannot believe this April Fool's Day joke still has legs. If anyone wanted an alternative to gcc (few do), there are credible options. pcc is not among them.

Of the competitors you mention, only tcc is free enough. That is hardly a gcc competitor (i386
only).

Yes, it's a little bit sad to see lwn falling for this joke. pcc can be nice for educational
purpose but that's all. Please use llvm or open64 if you want an alternative.
