Description:
TCgui is a frontend for truecrypt. It offers all
features of the command line utility (except
header backup) and even some more.
- konqueror integration
- you can save mountpoints for your volumes
- you can use various formats for your volumes,
such as ext2, ext3, reiserfs. However, usermount
only works with fat-volumes.
- the gui is i18n prepared and can be translated.
Requirements:
-------------
truecrypt 4.3a
Kommander
Installation:
-------------
Run ./installer.sh as user (not root !) after
unpacking the tarball.
truecrypt must be executed with root privileges
for tcgui to work. To achieve this, add the
following 2 lines to your /etc/sudoers
Defaults: !syslog, !logfile
localhost=NOPASSWD : /usr/bin/truecrypt
replace with your username.
The first line will disable sudo logging for your
user so your password
will not be saved in a logfile.
