Stable kernel 2.6.23 released
The 2.6.23 kernel has been released after somewhat more than the
usual number of test releases. For those just tuning in, 2.6.23 includes
the CFS CPU scheduler, the fallocate() system call, a new
generic SCSI driver, some memory fragmentation avoidance work, SMP guest
support in KVM, the UIO
user-space driver framework, Lguest, and much more. See the KernelNewbies 2.6.23
