FB-DIMM pinsFB-DIMM pinsPosted Oct 4, 2007 20:16 UTC (Thu) by anton (guest, #25547)In reply to: What every programmer should know about memory, Part 1 by wretcheddawn Parent article: What every programmer should know about memory, Part 1 Actually only the interface at the memory controller is 69 pins (allowing more channels from one memory controller chip). The FB-DIMM needs these 69 pins, plus 69 pins to talk to the next FB-DIMM, plus additional pins for power and ground; that's why they have the familiar 240-pin form factor.
