Obviously Linux is still only for ultra geeks. Even with 13 years of Linux experience, I'm not able to shop for a Dell Ubuntu desktop in Germany. There is no hint on the Dell front page and with some search I just get "Leider ist das von Ihnen ausgewählte Produkt aus einem der nachfolgenden Gründe nicht erreichbar" (your product is not available).

It would be nice if Dell believed in Linux, but until now I have the feeling, that it's just a marketing gag.

Strange,

i found the ubuntu laptops offering for germany quite easy.

www.dell.de -> laptops for private users -> opensource PC button on
the left

Its only two or three clicks away.

But at the moment only laptops are available, for desktop i get the same
error message.
