DKMS is the Redhat buzzword for Novell KMPs (it sounds very much like it!). Yet another reinvention of the wheel, I might add.

It predates Red Hat's kmods by several years. But yes, they're of similar goals, and we worked with both Red Hat and Novell when they were designing KMPs.
