Per the press release, the ES version can be ordered "now". Too bad it doesn't appear anywhere on the Red Hat Advanced Server or ordering web pages!

It sure is all over their web site now, with a buy link only one click away.

Is this RH8 or RH7 based?

Is this RH8 or RH7 based? It its RH7 based then it still uses gcc 2.96 which would be a problem for my projects.

I believe this 2.1 lineup is based on the Red Hat Advanced Server codebase which is in turn based on Red Hat 7.1/7.2. I read somewhere that the 3.0 version due out later this year will be based on 8.1/8.2.
