"Power vs energy" is not pedantic Posted Sep 21, 2007 15:52 UTC (Fri) by jreiser (subscriber, #11027) [Link] In large part because Intel concentrated on power (increasing CPU clock frequency and maximum instruction issue rate) while AMD concentrated on energy (doing customer work), billions of dollars in sales migrated from Intel to AMD, and thousands of Intel employees lost their jobs. That's not pedantic, that's as practical as one can get.
