I'm sure I speak for most of us when I say that we want very much for you to grow, prosper, and make a very comfortable wage doing LWN. This particular idea was a bad one, because it affected the integrity of your main product, words. But keep trying, there's gotta be something that works. You have great content here.
Banner ads are fine with this user, as long as they aren't animated. And Google text ads are okay too.
