A quick xserver-1.4 compatibility release

Alan Coopersmith:
      Don't fill in motion_history_proc for new input ABI
      Add *~ to .gitignore to skip over patch/emacs droppings
      Replace static ChangeLog with dist-hook to generate from git log
      Fill in COPYING file with licenses & copyrights from source files
      Clear compiler & sparse warnings
      Version bump: 1.1.1
