Hi, thanks for adding this feature. However, it appears that On another note, can we select to be automatically renewed?

The system won't try to do one for a year (since you added 12 months), but it is still poised to do so thereafter. "On another note, can we select to be automatically renewed? (With a warning e-mail that renewal is about to happen.)" The only automatic renewal option is the monthly one. We would certainly get complaints of LWN.net turned up on peoples' statements a year later. I'm also amazed at how many of the monthly charges fail each time - some people, at least, seem to go through a lot of credit cards. I would not be surprised to see a failure rate of over 50% on "one year later" renewals. As much as we would like to have the authorization to snag more cash in a year, I think we have to rely on email nagging for that case.
