Not a bad tutorial, but I prefer to use a custom script for ripping audio CD tracks. K3b is great for creating CDs/DVDs, but for extracting the music from the disc, there's no place like a command-line shell and cdparanoia. :-)

Just enter the CD, type abcde at the command prompt, and the CD is ripped to ogg (or mp3), useful filenames and tags included. I would love to see a similar tool for DVDs...
