And what about access control (except host-based) ?
What about PAM/LDAP/WinDomain integration ?
What about paper accounting and quotas ?
What about cancelling a task running on LPT printer without having to kill this 'parallel' process by hand ?
(I could continue the list on and on, as could everyone who dealt with CUPS in widely-varying environments)

If I were Apple, of course I would not share improvements in these areas with the public for free. Let the public continue suffer, and have more reasons to migrate to Mac :>
