New Yellow Dog Linux v5.0.1 for PS3

What about some added support for graphics? As far as I know, graphics in the PS3 are totally bogged down by hardware access restrictions imposed by the hypervisor, which preclude any form of 3D and even 2D acceleration.

Even if only 2D acceleration worked, I think the PS3 would be one of the best machines for MythTV. It would be a lot cheaper than mac minis or build-your-own living room PCs, and have a built-in blue-ray player and games console as very, very nice extras. Suddenly, the 600€ price would be extremely good value! I certainly would want one.

Of course, if they added 3D acceleration that would be even better, but that is expecting too much from Sony, I'm afraid.
