Hmm, how do you deal with the lack of flow control in irc? That is, the usual ircd's approach to input is to use a fixed size queue for each client, which when overflowed causes the link to be dropped. Did you modify your ircds to handle the maximum forseeable datarate, did you add flow control, or have you not encountered this snag yet?
