How can they ditch what they are not using in the first place?

I think we've all heard this same rant in the past, and in
the end, they get a nice price point from MS, and move
along with the rest of herd.

I don't see any news here.

Downward price pressure for Microsoft is, of course, much of the reason that Google is investing in their enterprise apps at all. (That and creating a cache of content that only Google can search...) While winning the account is the best case outcome for Google, merely taking tens of millions of dollars out of Microsoft's pockets is a good one too.
