It is sad that these were the best they could come up with. I don't think it means, though, that nobody's doing anything very innovative in Free Software. I suspect it's just that the authors didn't know where to look.

It seemed weighted toward network services and virtualization. I might have mentioned Vyatta (XORP) and Equivalence Pty (Asterisk). Who else?
