MandrakeSoft extends its enterprise offerings with the release of
Mandrake Corporate Server 2.1
Altadena, Paris, February 6th, 2003 -- MandrakeSoft, a worldwide Linux
technology leader, today announced the immediate release of Mandrake
Corporate Server 2.1, a comprehensive and versatile Linux solution that
provides large accounts with critical business server functions, plus
MandrakeSoft's famous "user friendly" touch. The Corporate Server
includes MandrakeClustering tools.
The first version of the Mandrake Linux Corporate Server, introduced in
September 2000, was greeted enthusiastically throughout the enterprise
sector. Today, MandrakeSoft presents its latest version -- 2.1. The new
Corporate Server offers all the tools needed to create a full-featured
enterprise network, complete with the latest up-to-date software and
security updates.
The Corporate Server is unique among MandrakeSoft's range of products
due to its extensive 12-month minimum development cycle. This longer
than usual development and release cycle ensures unprecedented product
stability and quality, as well as facilitating the certification process
of enterprise-class applications.
"The first Corporate Server proved that MandrakeSoft was serious about
answering the demanding needs of business and enterprise environments.
With the new Corporate Server's longer development cycle and extended
support offerings, our product fulfills the requirements of several
groups of the industry's players", explains Frédéric Bastok,
MandrakeSoft's Director of Marketing. "The Corporate Server 2.1 is
specifically designed to be an 'all-in-one' enterprise solution that
includes everything needed to rapidly deploy world-class Linux server
applications."
Available now at MandrakeStore (http://www.mandrakestore.com), the Corporate
Server is sold under a subscription basis which includes the product,
support and direct access to software updates. Two support options are
available: the "Standard" option ($749) is valid for five incidents
