 ULTEO AT SCALE 5X

Ulteo will be present at the fifth annual Southern California Linux
Expo. Held Saturday and Sunday, *February 10-11, 2007 at The Westin
Los 	Angeles Airport.* 	SCALE 5x promises to be everything you have
come to expect 	from your Open Source community and much more.

Ulteo will be there at booth #49 to answer your questions and
possibly give out Ulteo-preview CDs! (Quantity limited to 500, so be
sure to stop by early to get your copy!) For those who cannot attent,
check out our "live page" dedicated to SCALE5X which will hopefully
provide multimedia streams and pictures from the Ulteo booth!

 CONNECTED DESKTOP FOLLOW-UP

Since the first alpha test of the Connected Desktop, we have worked
on it to make it more secure and to fix the bugs that have been
reported. The Connected Desktop has been making a lot of buzz, so it
seems that it's going to become a major part of Ulteo. We are working
to release a new test version of the Connected Desktop during the next
weeks.

The Connected Desktop will demo'ed at the SCALE5X.

 LATEST NEWS FROM DEVELOPMENT

Since the first Ulteo public alpha release, the development of Ulteo
has improved dramatically:

- the new UGD daemon is almost ready and can now fetch settings
information from a dedicated Ulteo user account page that will be
able to manage settings for a number of Ulteo installed PCs.

- AppRun is going to be introduced and will provide a way to run on
the fly many additional applications that are not present in Ulteo
base installation

- Ulteo now supports language layers for several languages, so you
can get Ulteo in your language

Expect a new alpha/beta release in the coming weeks!

 MISC

We have received many enquiries from people who wish to invest some
money into Ulteo. While it's not possible yet, it's possible to
register as an "investor" on our contact page. We will send dedicated
information to these people if some investment opportunities should
show up in the future.
