Right. Exec-shield tripped up a sanity check in Gforth (apparently exec-shield is insane). Fortunately this was easy to fix: just comment out the check.

The tendencies of the gcc maintainers to break all non-standard code (including GNU C extensions) are a bigger problem for us.
