If there are 10m windows 2000 servers estimated to be on the internet, hence the estimate of 1 percent infection. I think its a better measure to ask how many of those 10m hosts were running SQL Server or MSDE, I would have thought probably only 10 percent. When in comes to IIS, which comes as is generally installed as default with a W2K system I think a much lower number (say 10%) would have a SQL Server derived product, hence the actual number of attacks is much higher (more like 10%).
