And as I understand it they will indeed continue to release the same code under a proprietary license for the benefit of people who are afraid to touch GPL code. So in essence that will make code sharing one-way only: Sun JDK -> GNU Classpath, since Sun cannot release code they don't own copyright to under a proprietary license. Sun JDK development will not benefit very much from an open development environment.
