If you measure the money given as a percentage of revenue, profit, or cash on hand, it becomes a little less clear who is really giving more. (Hint: MS's annual revenue is about 40x Novell's, profits about 50x and assets about 25x. And MS's payment to Novell about 4x the money going the other way. Make your own assessments about relative importance.)

Novell, buyer's remorse, and the patent threat Posted Nov 27, 2006 5:25 UTC (Mon) by jzbiciak (✭ supporter ✭, #5246) [Link] Novell's patents probably are confined to the server space, since Novell doesn't have much of a client-side play that they originated themselves. How about we restate this as server revenue vs. server revenue? The bulk of Microsoft's revenue comes from the client side.
Just a thought.
