UpstartUpstartPosted Nov 3, 2006 21:27 UTC (Fri) by cdmiller (subscriber, #2813)Parent article: The Edgy Efts swim to a mirror near you
Well, we run one Ubuntu server and took the plunge installing a LAMP mode server from the final Edgy RC. Very nice install but the first thing we had to do was replace upstart with sysvinit, otherwise the system booted directly to a single user root prompt. Apparently there are some "design issues" still being worked out in upstart. I don't know if they fixed the problem of workstations able to be rebooted into this state with simple keyboard sequences.
