Running Internet Explorer in Debian and Ubuntu Linux (Debian Admin)

Debian Admin shows how to run Internet Explorer in Debian and Ubuntu. "IEs4Linux is the simpler way to have Microsoft Internet Explorer running on Linux (or any OS running Wine). No clicks needed. No boring setup processes. No Wine complications. Just one easy script and you'll get three IE versions to test your Sites. And it's free and open source. This may be very helpful for software developers and web developers to test their applications."

Just another free installer for non-free software

No addressing the fact that, after running this program, you've installed non-free software with an outrageously restrictive EULA.

Which user didn't know about and didn't explicitly agree to... I wonder
who MS would sue, the user or the author of the install program?

One "advantage" of the massive propaganda campaign by software hoarders is that very few people are unaware of the need to have a license to do things covered by copyright. Sadly, in many jurisdictions, use of the software is an act covered by copyright, and ignorance of the copyright is no defense.

I question the assumption implied by your use of the word "or" in the above.

I also question the need for anyone to be sued. In many jurisdictions, copyright infringement is now a *criminal* offense, which is chargeable. The copyright holder doesn't even need to be involved.

The comment was rhetorical, meant mainly to note that the installer
program provider could also get in trouble for hiding the license stuff.
